About Us

the Service Board (tSB) mentors teens to conquer personal and cultural challenges through social justice, service learning and snowboard trips. We provide Seattle teenagers with a safe space where their voices are heard, where they are valued, where they find a supportive community, and where they are encouraged to thrive.

tSB takes an intensive mentoring approach grounded in deeply authentic and reciprocal relationships between mentors and youth – relationships that embrace love, compassion, unbridled fun, and the complexity of each participant’s life – built through shared experiences on the mountain, in program, and in the mutual journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Through our programs, young adults engage in organized activities that build social and life skills and they develop a sense of belonging.
